The Neonatal-Perinatal Division provides educational opportunities for people at all stages of training, including medical students, resident physicians, neonatal subspecialty residents (fellows), and neonatal nurse clinicians. The aim of this program is to provide educational opportunities for people to achieve excellence in clinical newborn medicine, scholarly research, and medical education.
Community Outreach
- We provide outreach education as one of ten training centers in the United States that provides NIDCAP (Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program) training.
- As the regional referral medical center, we also provide PCEP (Perinatal Continuing Education Program) outreach education for the perinatal staff of hospitals within our service region.
- Our physicians also participate in the Department of Pediatrics' Grand Rounds held every Thursday morning.
