St. Anthony's Hospital
High-Risk Delivery Coverage

The Department of Pediatrics at OU Health Sciences Center has a close relationship with St. Anthony's Hospital, located within two miles of the OU Medical Center campus.  St. Anthony's Family Medicine residents receive pediatric training in newborn medicine at OU Children's Hospital.

While St. Anthony's Hospital aims to provide care primarily to term well newborns, there are occasional times when a premature baby arrives unexpectedly and needs the assistance of a physician specially-trained to care for premature or sick infants.

That's where the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine faculty at OU Children's Hospital step in.  Physicians are on call 24-7 to provide emergency coverage for infants who are born too soon at St. Anthony's Hospital.  Our doctors coordinate the care of these infants, ensuring that they are safely delivered to OU Children's Hospital Neonatal ICU where they can receive the highest care possible.
